Hello, paralyzed man - Not dementia person living alone, needs live-in, one-on-one caregiver/assistant is needed for a very pleasant disabled man in Bartlett, IL, living in a nice home to become part of our team and family.
- You'd have a private bedroom and bath.
- Schedule options are somewhat open, but weekends are needed.
- Live-in only, unless living within 5-10 miles of Bartlett and can come and go easily.
- No experience is necessary but willingness to learn and a good work ethic only. Current caregivers will train
- Looking for longevity because you feel its a good fit. Current live-in has been with us for 17 years.
This is NOT working for an elderly person with dementia. He is quadriplegic and has routines in the AM, afternoon, and putting to bed. In between you are here in case he calls, but not actively working on him. Keeping his room and bathroom clean and doing his laundry and some misc help for him. Has hoyer lift, power wheelchair, silky drawesheets
I am his wife and live with him and do the house cleaning and cooking, errands and feeding him.We pay per shift or per day, depending on how we hire you. He's been disabled for a long time and is 72 years old. Likes music and tv and sports and hardly goes anywhere anymore and when he does, I drive him. Would want the person we hire to be a good fit for him personality wise.
We've had many caregivers over 29 years, and have heard and experienced it all. So, if you read this ad and feel you can be honest and trustworthy, we will be also. You would be supplementing the couple of other caregivers we already have - we would put a schedule together considering your needs and theirs.
