Job Description
As a Community Health Worker partnering with MiSalud, you will attend enrollment events hosted at various workplaces. Your role will focus on:
- Building trust with participants
- Educating them on MiSalud’s services
- Assisting with enrollment and mobile app use
- You will help ensure that community members receive the care they need—safely, respectfully, and easily.
- All necessary training is provided via Zoom prior to events. Training hours are paid.
- There will also be opportunity for an ongoing partnership with MiSalud to help support our patients locally.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent MiSalud with professionalism and warmth at onsite health events
- Enroll eligible participants in the MiSalud program
- Take basic vital signs (e.g., weight, waist circumference, blood pressure)
- Guide participants through mobile app installation and login (training provided)
- Build rapport and trust with participants
- Explain wellness programs, including any challenge initiatives
- Support event logistics such as check-in, material setup, and coordination
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Moderately tech-savvy (comfortable using mobile apps)
- Energetic, proactive, and approachable—especially with shy or hesitant individuals
- Reliable transportation to and from event sites
- Be on your feet all day during these enrollment events
