Komo and Shogun are hiring FOH part-time positions, with options to pick-up shifts and periodic events. Weekend availability is required.
The positions we are hiring for are:
Shogun and Komo - Hybrid Bartender/Server
Komo - Host
Shogun - Barback (with possible Komo shifts)
Shogun is a Japanese whisky bar and vinyl listening room with a private membership aspect.
The role is for a hybrid bartender and server position that will jump between the two concepts within the same building. As of right now the part-time position is for Thursday – Saturday. Availability for all three days is required. There will be opportunities to pick up various shifts or event shifts.
Qualifications & Duties:
Prior upscale or fine dining experience is preferred
Skilled in the art of hospitality and works to continually improve the guest experience.
Minimum of four years of bartender experience
Prior serving experience
Whisky knowledge is required with a preference towards Japanese whisky
Japanese cuisine and beverage knowledge are a plus
Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Ability to stand on your feet for long hours
Okay to work late nights (Friday we close at 2am and Saturday 3am)
Must stay calm and cool headed
Works well within a team and follows direction from leadership
Maintains a clean and organized work station
Shogun has private members, you will be required to remember and identify each member and our regulars
Setting up the bar or server stations
Executing cocktails to the correct specification
Speaking knowledgeably about Japanese whisky to guest with the goal to upsell the right beverage for the guest
Accurately take orders and course out a meal
Follows an Allergy SOP
Komo is an upscale casual Japanese restaurant by acclaimed sushi Chef Macku Chan. We offer a tasting menu and a la carte options with an elevated beverage program.
The Host position we are hiring will need to be available Friday-Sunday. Scheduled hours are typically from 3:30pm-10:30pm.
Qualifications & Duties:
Previous Host experience at a fast paced, high occupancy restaurant
A genuine kind and hospitable attitude and work demeanor.
Highly organized, clean, and detail oriented
Works well with others
Comfortable communicating to guests in-person and over the phone
Prior experience with Tock and/or Open Table is a plus
Periodic bathroom checks
Guests are greeted with a complimentary pour of sake, so you must be 21+ years of age
Shogun is hiring a barback for Friday and Saturday. There will be opportunities to pick up Komo barback or support shifts. Typical schedule would be: Fridays from 5pm to 3am and Saturdays from 5:30pm to 3:30am. Please read above for a brief highlight of Shogun.

Previous barback experience required
Ability to prep and batch ingredients following the exact recipe
Ability to clean and polish glassware effectively while being gentle to avoid any breakage
Setting up the bar or server stations
Capable of lifting 50 lbs

Restocking low inventory
Maintaining a clean work and guest area
