Part Time, Weekends Are Mandatory, 3 to 4 Days A Week
Compensation: Negotiable at the interview
Responsible for cash/credit card transactions, and change.
Knowledge of Toast handheld a plus.
Live music venue.
Balancing handling the regulars as well as patio people/random people and musicians/show attendees.
Duties: Run trash and assist moving kegs with bartender when needed.
Monitoring the back gate/doors/patio.
Coordinating with bar/sound staff regarding band gear and loading in/out (Not hauling gear- directing where it goes and following protocol as far as not blocking exits and such).
Collecting and being responsible for door cover charge- including assisting with end of show allocation of said money.
Checking ID's. (We have a tavern license and are strictly 21+, some exceptions that can be addressed at a later point).
Assisting in closing duties.
A lot of this job does require customer service in the sense that you are the first line of defense- the first person that folks interact with upon entering the property. Not a "greeter" per se, but you may get a lot of questions from musicians and first-time guests, so being polite and accommodating is important. Filtering out guests who may have been overserved or are unruly before they make it in is a part of this as well.
