Line Cook
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook with previous management experience to join our team at Rockwell's. As a BOH Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team provides the quality and consistency our menu offerings are known for. Your attention to detail and ability lead by example with composure in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our local neighborhood oasis.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
-Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
-Cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
-Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner.
-Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain food safety standards.
-Assist with the cleaning and organizing of the kitchen and storage areas.
-Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
-Assist Management in creation of daily prep lists
-Assist management with weekly ordering & receiving
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role.
-Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
-Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-Effectively communicate and delegate to staff on shift
