This role offers a unique opportunity to work with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and contribute to a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and our summer Urban Farm Dinner series. We are looking for a creative individual who can utilize dehydrated vegetable scraps to craft seasoned salts, syrups, dressings, and jams, enhancing our menu offerings. This position offers the potential for growth into a Sous Chef role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of dishes in a high-volume catering environment.

Participate in both on-site and off-site events, ensuring timely and high-quality food service.

Support the kitchen team in daily operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.

Assist with receiving deliveries and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.

Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold our commitment to sustainability, including composting and recycling practices.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role.

Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

A valid driver's license is preferred for potential event-related travel.

Benefits & Perks:

50/50 medical insurance after 90 days.

401(k) plan.

Paid time off after 6 months.

Major holidays off, including the day after Thanksgiving and a week around Christmas.

Corporate donation matching up to $150.

Complimentary meals during shifts.
