YCC Toddler Assistant Teacher - 2025/2026 School Year

We are seeking a Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our Young Children's Community (YCC) here at Near North Montessori for the 2025/2026 school year!The role of the Assistant Teacher (YCC) will support various aspects of the 18 months to 3 years old children; to help foster the development of the children intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.Schedule: 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with shifts falling between 8:00am and 6:00pm during the school year, with adjustments or additional time as needed. This role may also include an opportunity to work summer camps if desired.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Assist the Montessori Instructor Coach with the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth and development of studentsPrepare and maintain a Montessori environment, including developmentally appropriate materials and activities. Assist with maintaining a classroom true to the Montessori philosophy, including fostering a classroom community of respect and kindness. Demonstrate a warm regard, self-regulation, integrity, curiosity, responsibility, and creativity with a deep respect for racial, cultural, and gender diversityAssist in preparing, cleaning and maintaining the room environment and materials on a daily basisAct in a way that exemplifies and models the school’s expectations of grace and courtesyAttend and participate in meetings and training sessions for position, classroom, or level when invitedAcquire professional training in the educational field by attending educational conferences, training workshops and other related activitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
