It's about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and support their families, enabling nonprofits to maximize donor funds for better service, and assisting governments in improving services for residents.As an Account Executive (AE) for Walmart Business, your role will focus on cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our key accounts. You will have the opportunity to substantially drive sales, from closing opportunities to strategic account growth. AEs will conduct extensive discovery of customer needs, collaborate to configure appropriate solutions, and oversee the onboarding of their customers. They will also monitor account usage and expansion, developing a growth strategy and pipeline of additional opportunities. The ideal candidate will have B2B sales experience, including identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing deals.Who you'll work with:
Work directly with (Business Development Representatives) BDRs, who will support you by creating Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and conducting initial discovery of a customer's budget, purchasing authority, needs, and timing
Work directly with the Onboarding team to ensure customer accounts are successfully configured and enabled to place orders, meeting customer expectations
Work directly with the Product team to share customer needs and ensure solution designs and Walmart capabilities ultimately meet expectations
Partner with Marketing to ensure accounts are nurtured with relevant product updates, expansion options, and customer success stories
Responsibilities:
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Win new logos, engaging in discovery with customers to advise on ideal solutions utilizing Walmart Businesse's diverse set of platform features
Grow existing accounts by developing robust account strategies to drive revenue, logging future opportunities (e.g., repeat purchases, category and penetration, user/site expansion, and plan upgrades / deeper configurations)
Your success will be measured by the achievement of individual opportunity input and revenue goals.
Pipeline Management:
Actively seek and capitalize on new business opportunities in assigned territories by developing and executing go-to-market strategies
Maintain a well-organized and effective sales pipeline, accurately tracking both potential and active opportunities and collaborating across the sales team to meet targets
Consistently monitor/report on sales metrics to foster a transparent sales process
Customer Management:
Own account revenue relationship, strategically managing senior stakeholders within customer accounts
Understand customer needs and objectives to provide well-configured solutions
Monitor customers' usage frequently, ensuring the offering and service levels are meeting expectations
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Product, and Customer Care, to ensure customer satisfaction
Share customer feedback and needs with relevant internal teams to guide product improvements, marketing campaigns, onboarding training assets, etc.
Minimal Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree
8+ years of experience in B2B and/or Enterprise sales
Experience in managing sales process: opportunity to closing, usage, and expansion
Demonstrated track record of positioning and selling solutions to new and existing customers and market segmentsHistory of exceeding sales targets and managing sales budget
Skills:
Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work cross-functionally
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills, capable of engaging customers both face-to-face and virtually
Ability to analyze customer data, business, and industry trends to create tailored go-to-market strategies
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with B2B retail and procurement
Understanding of the competitive landscape and key players in B2B retail
Adaptability:
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions
