UI Developer #MS –AS11

Location: CHICAGO, IL

Duration: 6 Months + (probable extension)

Job Summary:
  • Developing prototypes for design iterations, architects performant UI code and delivers production ready software for end user consumption.
  • Research new technology, solve multiple complex problems, utilizing best practices such as modular codebase, test-driven development, peer reviews and component documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Work in small, agile team to design, prototype and build new product offerings and enhance existing products and tools
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify, prioritize and document detailed product requirements
  • Architect, Develop and document UI features using Javascript, React.js, Redux.
  • Create robust automated unit/functional test suites and deployment scripts

Technical Requirements:
  • Familiarity with agile/iterative development methodologies (XP, SCRUM, etc.)
  • Experience developing polished application UIs using web technologies to include HTML5, CSS3 and/or JavaScript.
  • Possess experience interfacing with various back-end technologies, frameworks and services
  • Thorough understanding of responsive web design, fluid layouts and positioning, browser behavior and compatibility and cross-browser issues.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design / back-end development is "nice to have" but not required
