Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Summary:Under the direction of the Principal Investigator or his/her designee and in collaboration with other members of the research team, the Intern will perform computational, technical, or laboratory procedures and carry out experiments or tests. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Required Job Qualifications: High school graduate required. College students in good academic standing will also be considered. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, set goals, and manage complicated tasks. Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with confidential information.Preferred Job Qualifications: Ability to read code/write code in Python, R, MATLAB, C, or other programming languages.Responsibilities: Performs research under the supervision of a designated manager and a specific research project. Use computer software to collect and analyze experimental data. Maintains a thorough lab notebook of all experiments performed. Maintains and submits primary and summary documentation of laboratory work to principal investigator of designee. Participates in laboratory meetings including journal clubs and research updates and attends other relevant seminars. Performs other duties as assigned.Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
