Sr. Software Consultant

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer in Boca Raton, Florida. The successful candidate will be part of a team that develops web-based enterprise applications and ensures adherence to best practices in areas such as unit and integration testing, CI/CD, documentation, security, and software design principles. This role involves working with development teams and delivering highly available cloud solutions while adding new capabilities to existing applications.Responsibilities: Develop web-based enterprise applications from specifications Stay current on advancements in technology, design practices, and architecture Make recommendations on how technology advances can be applied to current products and engineering practices Work in an Agile/Scrum SDLC Ensure best practices are adhered to in areas such as unit and integration testing, CI/CD, documentation, security, and software design principals Work with CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub, Nexus, jFrog/Artifactory, Docker Operate in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure Work with messaging systems like Kafka Develop using Java, J2EE, and Web applications using MVC model Integrate with Web Services (REST) and parse JSON and XML data Design and operate solutions with relational & NoSQL Databases (MySQL/PostGreSQL Oracle, MongoDB) Stay aware of Front end technologies like Angular, Node.js, Java Script, HTML5, CSS Requirements Proficiency in software languages such as JavaScript, Java, MySQL, HTML and Oracle. Extensive knowledge and experience in software engineering and design. Strong understanding of cloud technologies and their integration into software solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and documentation. Familiarity with networking concepts and applications. Experience in revenue accounting and its application in software development. Ability to adhere to and implement compliance and quality assurance best practices. Proficiency in website development and design. Demonstrable understanding of security protocols and practices in software development. Experience with selling software solutions or products is a plus. Knowledge of 'About Time' software or similar time management tools. Familiarity with supplier management in a software development context. Proven experience in coding best practices and methodologies. Ability to deliver high-quality work, adhering to timelines and targets.
