Join us!Position SummaryThis role is responsible for leading complex efforts to understand and govern data solutions within technology solutions as well as business processes, controls, and metrics. Key responsibilities include influencing and delivering the data strategy for GIS and ensuring GIS technology solutions and business process, controls, and metrics, comply with both GIS and enterprise data and records management standards; partnering closely with the GIS DSE, DQCE, and DDM on Data Management activities, policies, and standards for GIS; and driving effort to implement of a DQ Metrics & Scorecard Dashboard as part of the newly established GIS Data Quality Management Program. Must be able to provide technical thought leadership based on the significant experience in data governance and data quality roles. Also will be responsible for examining complex data to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected, resolving data quality problems as well as working with various enterprise level and local data management & governance, data architecture, data engineering/development, and data quality teams. Will contribute to efforts to capture and manage data dictionaries/catalogue, data lineage, and all forms of business, technical and operational metadata.Primary Level of Engagement : Works as a team member with leadership responsibilities but does not manage people.Primary Interactions:GT Data Management PartnersScrum MastersDevelopment TeamsData ArchitectsData Quality AnalystsData Governance AnalystsBusiness Process, Control, and Metric OwnersGIS Data OwnersKey Responsibilities:

Partners closely with the Global Technology Data Management – GIS DSE and DQCE Lead on Data Management activities, policies, and standards for GIS

Works closely with business and technology partners to provide data governance and understand data domain requirements and issues

Provides guidance to business partners in driving GIS Data Governance and Data Quality requirements and prioritization

Provides guidance to process, control, and metric owners on EDM Standards in support of ensuring GIS SPI and Metrics are in adherence with the standards.

Provides guidance on development and implementation of data quality rules, monitoring of data quality, and helps drive data analysis, data quality improvement and issue resolution

Partners with the DQ Lead, to drive effort to implement a GIS DQ Metrics & Scorecard Dashboard as part of the newly established GIS Data Quality Management Program

Participates in identification and development of data management tools, to include metadata management and data quality measurement and reporting requirements

Works closely with data owners in the identification and documentation of business and technical metadata.

Acts as Product Manager for the team’s Kanban to include ensuring quality of team’s stories, prioritization of the backlog, and working with team’s part time scrum master as needed

Qualifications:

Understanding of Data Management fundamentals, including metadata, data quality, and data governance

Understanding of Data Quality fundamentals

Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to collect, organize, and analyze information

Strong process design and improvement skills

Excellent collaboration skills, as well as ability to successfully mentor and coach others

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to work in person, virtually, and in a globally-staffed environment

Able to influence, lead, and communicate effectively across technology peers, business units, managers and senior leadership

Able to bridge gap between technology and business and clearly articulate concepts, requirements, and solutions

Adept at handling multiple tasks and adapt to daily changing requirements

7+ years of experience with data management and governance

7+ years of experience leading leading cross-functional workgroups or organizational & administrative operations

Desired:

Knowledge of Enterprise Data Management, Global Records Management, Regulatory Reporting, and Risk Data Aggregation Policies and Standards

Experience in database modelling, architecture, design, and implementation
