Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Summary:Assists in the development, execution, maintaining compensation governance frameworks and policies, tools and processes. Conducts analyses of jobs, hourly wages, salaries, and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, as well as legal compliance with internal regulations and external requirements, mitigate risks, and facilitate informed decision-making of the organization's pay practices and policies. Assists with the development and implementation of compensation training and projects. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Human Resources Management or related discipline Five years of progressive experience in Compensation or related field, with emphasis on the practical application of statistical theory and two years of progressive experience in policy development, implementation, and compliance monitoring. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while prioritizing and meeting deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Access, and HRIS systems. Customer-service focused and able to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and managers in a team-based environment. High level of agility and sense of urgency in dealing with clients and executives. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information.Responsibilities: Leads efforts to develop, revise, implement and maintain policies. Takes harmonization among Rush entities and operational differences in consideration. Ensure appropriate stakeholders are included in development. Develops performance and utilization metrics based on policies and standards. Determines mean for efficient tracking through HRIS or other systems. Analyzes costs and utilization of programs and projections for modifications. Identifies opportunities for policy alignment, coordination, and collaboration. Conducts regular reviews and updates of existing policies to ensure relevance, compliance with policy and effectiveness. Oversees policy development, monitor compliance, and maintain governance structures. Leads projects for review, updates, communication and implementation. Conducts risk assessments for policy development and document mitigation strategies. Takes into account market prevalence, legal compliance and costs. Provides guidance to project managers and teams on compliance matters. Assists staff with locating and interpreting organizational policies and procedures. Communicates with the departmental team and stakeholders. Partners with HRBP and leaders to revise job descriptions using data received from managers, incumbents, third parties, and knowledge of the company's policies and culture. Supports and identifies opportunities for enhancement and change in compensation programs, policies and procedures. Recommends and implements approved changes to process and policy. Conducts job evaluation analyses. Evaluates positions using standard job evaluation techniques. Conducts equity analyses both internal and external. Partners with HRBP to consult and advise on departmental requests, providing options and solutions to create alignment and synergy across the hospital system. Conducts market studies, creating cost-effective solutions and presenting proposals to department management. Assists in developing solutions for complex issues that arise within the medical center that have a compensation component. Completes and submits relevant salary surveys. Works with HRIS to ensure updates regarding compensation related HR data in the system of record. Acts as a compensation subject matter expert on system implementations impacting compensation. Assists with education, training and quality audit activities to ensure compliance with current Joint Commission Human Resource Standards. Reviews and recommends changes to compensation policies and procedures. Focuses on process automation for compensation administrative tasks.
