Position: LeadDepartment: Shipping and Receiving Night 2:30 pm- 11:00 pm (Lead)Position Summary : Responsible for supervising a team of Shipping clerks, managing shipping schedules, and maintaining accurate records of shipments. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role. Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and assign work for employees.
Train new hires to meet department and company standards.
Involved with employee’s performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
Coordinate shipping activities, including packing, labeling, and loading/unloading shipments.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Prepare shipping document, including bills of landing and shipping labels.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity.
Address and resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet delivery deadlines and resolve customer inquiries.
Communicate shipping updates and issues to management.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands
Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.
Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.
Must be able to bend and squat frequently.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.
Required Knowledge and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.
Attention to detail.
Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Ability to read English.
Ability to read picklist and orders.
Must have strong math and metrology skills.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
