Trading Operations Specialist

Trading Operations Specialist works as part of the Trading Services (TS) group in Middle Office Operations, providing critical support for the overall trading practice by upholding a high level of expertise on industry best practices, regulations, and technology. This individual is committed to creating a loss free environment for our clients by collaborating cross departments, managing vendors, and optimizing efficiency. In addition to mastering the daily tasks and systems associated with the post trade life cycle.

Duties and responsibilities# Facilitate the post trade life cycle in all capacities required including matching and settlement of Domestic & International trades# Oversee trade communication and system configuration to implement trading practice as requested by trade desk, portfolio managers, research, and client service teams # Manage Collateral and daily margin process with various clearing merchants and counterparties# Provide subject matter expertise and assistance on regulatory reporting requirements such EMIR and ASIC# Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all related post-trade internal and vendor systems# Maintain the data integrity of our Trade Cost Analytics (TCA) and commission databases # Maintain all internal external reporting including Commission Management and TCA # Manage broker onboarding and complete ongoing broker due diligence and annual review# Manages system set-up for commission, fees, broker rules, and trade routing, and process updates due to market changes and regulation requirements # Maintain a working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and market practices governing security clearance and settlements# Participate in firm-wide and departmental projects and special duties as assigned# Pro-actively identify and progress opportunities to enhance straight-through processing and improve efficiency in operations# Provide support to other middle office groups on all trade related queries# Performance management # Responsible for team members performance, baselining of key performance indicators, understanding service level agreements, productivity, quality, turnaround time
