We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to ensure that enterprise cloud security controls are designed and built. This role will be responsible for maintaining & improving the cloud control validation process, providing expertise on cloud services security, and managing payment HSM devices. The Platform Engineer is also responsible for identifying and driving opportunities for improvement such as process simplification, automation of tasks and evaluation of new tools and technology that create value for the organization.Candidates for this role should have expert knowledge and experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS. Candidates should be passionate about cybersecurity with an eye for continuous improvement and empathy for development teams.General Responsibilities:
Providing guidance for Control Validation to team members
Establishing and maintaining goals & objectives for Control Validation activities
Driving continuous improvement of Control Validation processes & procedures
Coordinating with leaders for prioritization & work handoffs
Identifying opportunities for automation
Evaluating new tools, and driving implementation of technology that creates value for the organization
Developing automated solutions using scripts and cloud-based server-less computing platforms
Working with all aspects of HSM including managing keys, configuration and network setup
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
At least 2 years of experience with AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, Engineering or Mathematics
1+ years experience with Payshield HSM
1+ years experience working in enterprise level key management system
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification
Security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty
3+ years of experience architecting/building applications for AWS cloud
3+ years of experience developing scripts in PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, or Python
