The role applies professional knowledge to ensure the financial statement close and settlement process is conducted in a timely manner and aligned to financial accounting policies and procedures. The role manages professionals, managers and operational support employees, developing and maintaining productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders. This role provides financial accounting advisory services to business partners on a regular basis and month end attestations of all balances according to standard policy. The role often incorporates innovation into daily execution and management practices.How you'll succeed

Responsible for various analytical assessments of more complex transactional activities culminating in determining appropriate accounting entries.

Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Interact with internal and external audits by analyzing and preparing schedules of various general ledger accounts.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly regulatory and external reporting schedules.

Discover and document internal processes and procedures, controls, data flow, and reporting requirements; assist team members in doing the same for their respective areas.

Manage multiple tasks and projects as assigned by senior management.

Participate in continuing educational opportunities , such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and joining professional organizations.

Who you are

You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.

You can demonstrate a minimum of 7 years of experience in Public Accounting and Financial Reporting. It’s an asset if you have a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing as a CPA.

You can demonstrate experience in accounting systems and data conversions, integrations, and implementations.

You have technical experience with databases, the storage and movement of data, and the ability to understand how data is obtained and extracted for general ledger accounting and financial reporting proficient with Microsoft Excel, Visio, FIS/Hyperion.
