You enjoy working with others, are results-driven, and seek various opportunities to develop personally and professionally.The RoleThe Senior, Joint Venture Accounting works on the monthly and quarterly close process, specifically related to accounting for Hyatt’s joint venture portfolio. This includes preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, SEC reporting submissions, financial statement analytics, and assistance with budgeting and forecasting. This individual will work closely with all areas of corporate accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, and Asset Management. Key responsibilities include:Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.Prepare analytics over significant account balances and joint venture financial statements.Prepare data inputs for the reporting of JV EBITDA.Prepare quarterly external reporting schedules.Identify and implement projects to improve and automate accounting processes.Assist with various monthly forecasts and annual budget processes.Field and resolve inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors.Qualifications:Experience Required:3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or equivalent business/financial roleBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldExperience Preferred:Certified Public AccountantFinancial ERP systems (Oracle and Hyperion)The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
