The Security Forensic Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting internal technology investigations. This position requires the ability to handle various tasks in a hands-on capacity. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, a team player, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess a strong sense of responsibility, ethics, values, and personal accountability. The Security Forensic Analyst will:

Managing evidence with proper chain of custody procedures

Assist with computer incident investigations, determining the cause of the security incident and preserving evidence for potential legal action

Perform forensic analysis on computers, phones, and any other digital media

Interface with business function owners, legal, human resources, technical personnel and others

Make recommendations on corrective action for incidents

Assess artifacts/close incident vulnerability preserve technical evidence

Produce security incident and investigation reports/briefings

Travel on site for incident response and data collection

Security analysis skills, including ability to analyze logs to detect required information and patterns

Note:

Training provided

Hybrid role - 2-3 days in office or as needed

Basic Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree and/or minimum of 1 year working in information technology

Preferred Qualifcations/Skills:

Solid knowledge of computer equipment

Understanding of computer operating systems (Windows, iOS, &/or Linux)

Security analysis skills, including ability to analyze logs to detect required information and patterns

Ability to manipulate and present data

Nice to have experience in IT security, network security or related experience

Nice to have experience with forensic tools like FTK, EnCase, Nuix, Axiom, SIFT, etc.

Nice to have programming and scripting skills

Nice to have certification or education: BSc or equivalent in cryptography, data mining, computer science, communication technology, computer security and/or related certification

Professional Skills:

Above average problem-solving skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Strong sense of ethics & values, ability to handle confidential situations with discretion

Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

Strong willingness to learn and grow within the role

Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
