Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to team up with us and create positive change in the lives of students in a year-round therapeutic school in Humboldt Park, Chicago. In this role, you will play crucial role in supporting 1st-12th grade students who benefit from smaller, more individualized classroom settings. Job Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to identified students in the therapeutic setting.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.
Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).
Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.
Provide mostly push-in services as needed
Facilitate IEP meetings
Develop and track interventions in order to understand IEP effectiveness.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
