Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Summary:This Clinical Manager is a key member of the Rush University System for Health (RUSH) community. This position is responsible for managing the clinical staff that support the vision and scope of the Integrated Mental Health and Wellness team, specifically the programs and services that align with Rush’s Anchor Mission to amplify mental health access for residents of Chicago’s West Side.Focused on the outpatient psychotherapy clinic in the Social Work and Community Health (SWaCH) department, this position works collaboratively with the Director and operations team to support the team through direct clinical supervision, oversight of daily operations (including data management, clinical support, navigating key stakeholder relationships, etc.) and will be responsible for quality improvement and clinical training efforts for the outpatient practice. This position will oversee the Legacy Mental Health Fellowship and the satellite clinic in the Sankofa Village Wellness Center, in collaboration with the Director. This position focuses on promoting inter-sectoral collaborations that bring together stakeholders from inside and outside the health care system to address equity and disparities in health outcomes, especially as they relate to mental health.This position requires expertise in crisis management and will serve as the primary point of contact for staff who require support in crises or high-risk clinical situations, with the support of the Director. This position will leverage their perspective to contribute to the team’s strategic vision and operations, in close collaboration with the Director, other management staff, and the Operations and Navigation Cores. In summary, this position manages staff, delivery of services, and quality control and evaluation within the scope of the outpatient psychotherapy practice. Finally, this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Responsibilities:
Oversees the Legacy Mental Health Fellowship with Director and other key stakeholders and leads the build out of the satellite clinic in the Sankofa Village Wellness Center, in partnership with the Director.
Serves as an advocate and liaison for strategic partnerships internally and externally, especially with stakeholders who collaborate on matters of quality and compliance.
Identifies and build relationships with leaders and key organizations for potential partnerships, including residents, nonprofit agencies, neighborhood organizations, educational institutions and government.
Establishes consistent, objective performance standards of accountability for the outpatient practice along with Director, including program evaluation.
Leads the organizing, formalizing and ongoing maintenance of outpatient clinic processes and policies, with leadership over the Legacy Mental Health Fellowship and the satellite clinic in the Sankofa Village Wellness Center.
Spearheads the implementation of new quality efforts (e.g., eliciting patient and referring provider feedback with regularity) in partnership with the Director and Navigation Core.
Contributes to the bi-annual process of conducting mandatory quality chart reviews.
Manages the credentialling process for new and existing hires to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement.
Oversees the clinical onboarding processes for social work staff.
Provides clinical supervision to staff, directly manages performance for direct reports, and collaborates for direct reports receiving supervision from Team Lead(s).
Maintains and supports ongoing adaptation of Epic workflows to support clinical utilization.
Manages vision and operationalizes evaluation, development, and key deliverables, along with Director and Operations Core.
Develops and implements an engagement strategy which is aligned with the mission, vision goals and strategies in partnership with the Director and Operations/Navigation Cores.
Contributes to data management and maintenance (key performance indicators, community benefits reporting, development of Maestro dashboard, etc.), taking ownership over certain areas or initiatives in collaboration with the Director and Operations Team.
Instills a sense of accountability among team members by modeling oversight of individual and organization performance standards.
Provides strategic guidance and input to leadership regarding the development and implementation of programs and initiatives, to ensure the perspectives and impact on our key partners are understood and addressed.
Acts as a thought leader in the development and implementation of programs, services and events designed to address the changing needs of the community and stakeholders.
Attends meetings and events as needed and performs other related duties as assigned.
Other information:Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in community health, public policy, community organizing and advocacy, social work, non-profit management or related area. 5 years of program management experience. Supervisory or management experience. Understands and/or has had an opportunity to work on equity issues in healthcare, social services, law, policy or other related areas. Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs. Proficient in using technology as a management-reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems. Strong project management skills managing complex, multi-faceted projects resulting immeasurable successes and program growth. Strong planning and implementation skills, including problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-functional, multi-organizational teams. Experience having worked with a high-performing, collaborative, constructive peer group. Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements. Experience working with multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting priorities. Experience working with diverse teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
