Description We are offering a Network Security Administrator role in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. This role will involve assisting senior team members in the configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting of the enterprise security infrastructure. You'll be working in a team environment, contributing to the development of policies, guidelines, best practices, and strategy, while also having administrative responsibility for Internal and External Security Protection platforms. Responsibilities: Analyze and troubleshoot problems, providing recommendations for solutions, products, and technologies to meet objectives Assist in the implementation and recommendation of appropriate Security Monitoring Systems and other security solutions such as NGFW, IDS, IPS, DLP that ties into SIEM, IAM & XDR Provide assistance to end-users, other IT professionals, and external customers in resolving security-related issues or problems Monitor for any external or internal threats and ensure proper security remediation & controls Provide support in implementing Security Solutions, which could include assisting in configuration changes, and projects requiring security operational support Assist in the design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the state enterprise security infrastructure Participate in any BCP/DR and/or Pen-Testing Exercises and provide appropriate support Assist in incident response for any breaches, intrusions, or theft Monitor systems for any anomalies, proper updating, and patching Maintain and contribute to relevant system documentation and configuration data for operational purposes Requirements A minimum of 7 years of experience in Network Security Administration or a related field. CCNA or PCNSE certified is required for this position Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies. Experience with Active Directory and Backup Technologies is required. Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management. Proven experience in Design, Palo Alto Firewall, SIEM Tools, and IAM provisioning. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and individually. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
