Resource 1 is seeking a .NET Software Architect for a
6+ month contract-for-hire with a well-known IoT (Internet of Things) solutions provider in the Chicago suburbs. The selected individual will join the development team responsible for distributed systems development for back-end communications/messaged-based architecture. Based on C# and .NET, the back-end is comprised of a Middleware, RESTful Web Service APIs, SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and MessageSight/ RabbitMQ message brokers. Around 4 million messages are being processed daily, so experience with message queueing systems is highly desired, such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Active Queue. This hands-on position will require the selected individual to develop/code solutions and perform the POC before handing it off to the development team.Experience:- 8 years of IT experience
- 4 years of experience with cloud architecture and platform design
- Experience defining functional process improvements and implementing change
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, Visual Studio
- Experience with GIT, No SQL databases, messaging systems
- Extensive experience in creating technical documentation and implementing standards of documentation for others to follow
- Experience researching technologies and setting a long-term technical vision for the platform
- Experience instituting best practices, principles, and standards for software development
- Experience building highly scalable and reliable software solutions platforms
- Thorough understanding of software development and design principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud-based development
