This role is responsible for implementing Rush’s workforce development strategies through various program deployment and managing several community and academic relationships that lead to the creation of qualified applicant pools as well as incumbent workforce upskilling. The manager will lead the team to work closely with community partners, non-profits, educational institutions, and governmental agencies to enhance employment opportunities and career development for community members and incumbent employees. This role entails managing all aspects of career pathway programs in collaboration with other TA and operational stakeholders, including logistics, facilitation, evaluation, and quality assurance. Measurement of effective workforce development efforts will be maintained through the organization’s DEI dashboard, in partnership with key organizational stakeholders.Other information: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related healthcare program. Three (3) years of progressive management experience in healthcare and experience in HR effectiveness, workforce development, workforce planning, organizational design, and talent acquisition. Strong evaluation, data management, and project management skills. Proficiency with data analysis and various software applications. Knowledge of labor market trends and industry sectors. Demonstrated commitment to racial and health equity and a passion for serving underserved populations, particularly low-income individuals. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to adapt to change in a non-structured environment. Previous experience successfully managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders with a consistent track record of delivering on-time, high quality results. Demonstrates effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Proven experience leveraging technology to maximize efficiency; ability to lead performance improvement projects utilizing LEAN principles. Optimistic yet realistic; upbeat attitude; energetic; ability to work in fast-paced, growing environment. Experience as a change agent, comfortable with ambiguity, in a fast-paced business environment. Ability to demonstrate managerial courage and provide timely and actionable constructive feedback. Partnership & Community Engagement:o Oversee implementation of new technology to support dissemination of workforce development opportunities to support efficient deployment to the internal workforce.o Provide leadership with the TA workforce development team to maintain partnerships with external organizations, including universities, high schools, community service organizations, and government agencies.o Partner with the Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement (CHEE) to align community development and pathway planning efforts.o Collaborate with the Rush Education and Career Hub (REACH) to connect program participants with talent acquisition opportunities at Rush.o Serve as a liaison with marketing to develop and promote advertising and media opportunities for programs. Program Evaluation & Reporting:o Coordinate development of key report outs to senior leadership as needed for board, executive and senior leadership presentations. Assist in presentations as needed.o Make recommendations on workforce development programming expansion or sunsetting based on quantifiable data and key performance indicators to measure and track program success.o Consult with HR analytic stakeholders to continuously monitor and update key metrics per organizational criteria for success.Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
