Description Prestigious national law firm seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney. The successful candidate will have a formidable knowledge of federal and state laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.Responsibilities include:
Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
Draft and review legal briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other court documents.
Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
Direct and coordinate law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas.
Gather evidence to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Admitted to the state bar.
Excellent litigation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
Proficient in case management software and technologies, as well as MS Office software.
