The Industrial Quality Manager, Quality Assurance investigates the root cause of issues and partners with facilities to recommend corrective actions. In addition, this position is responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual complaints reporting as required. From yourEXPERTISEto oursKey responsibilities for this position include:

Investigate holds and continuous improvement opportunities at LHD facilities.

Support facilities in investigating product complaints to meet CPM and KPIs.

Investigate the root cause of issues and partner with facilities to recommend corrective actions.

Assess both product and facility performance/non-conformances and propose actions to findings.

Monitor and follow up with manufacturing plants to ensure the full implementation of corrective actions.

Establish and follow up on LHD plants process control limits.

Serve as back up to the Food Safety Auditor in conducting internal audits using GFSI, HACCP & ISO 9001/22000 to assess food safety/quality risks & recommends mitigation strategies for our internal facilities.

Review, analyze, and distribute complaint reports to internal plants.

Produce audit reports and distribute internally in a timely manner.

Complete other monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed

Maintain a close partnership with LHD internal plants and collaborates on continuous improvement activities.

Alerts senior management on major issues.

Provide support on projects as needed, and accomplishes tasks as appropriately assigned.

Partner with other departments to achieve overall company objectives.

Proactively share and promote best practices throughout the organization.

RequirementsFrom yourSTORYto oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food science, dairy science, or life sciences is required.

5+ years related experience, including active involvement in Quality Programs is required.

Experience in cheese manufacturing is preferred.

Sanitation background is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to perform root cause analysis and point out gaps.

Solid knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, US food regulations, i.e. PMO

Proficiency with data management portals.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete administrative tasks.

Sense of organization and strong attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a changing, complex environment.

Collaborative & pragmatic mindset.

Ability to travel up to 50% and/or extended/off-work hours.
