They are responsible for the calculation and billing of rents and service fees to franchisees and tenants, all lease related and real estate tax payment and accounting activities, and construction project and fixed asset accounting processes.Following a hybrid schedule out of our global headquarters in the West Loop in downtown Chicago, the Finance Lease Accountant position within GBS offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain a broad understanding of the various functions and inputs within McDonald’s leasing transactions as well as gaining exposure to our global business environment.Job Responsibilities
Maintaining lease locations and the associated accounting analysis for those locations
Closing the books during the month end close process
Proactively identifying and implementing efficiencies within the cam reconciliation process
Gaining valuable knowledge of the TRIRIGA system and the implications of required accounting treatments for lease transactions to meet FASB requirements
Assisting in various ad-hoc requests and special projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
1+ years of previous accounting or finance experience
High proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite; experience with TRIRIGA and Oracle software is preferred
