Description:Individual will be responsible for independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers.Individual will review work provided by client and assess requirements of the scopes;Receive field work information that will then be used to create designs used in final packageMay also help with potential permits needed for utility lines to cross roads, easements, private property, or orders to have certain trees cut down where the new lines will runWill use Pole foreman or PLA/Pole Loading Analysis or similar software that helps provide structural analysis for wood pole analysis to figure out the integrity/strength of the pole to determine if a replacement is needed. This software will also help determine wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop and flicker.guyingKnowledge of or experience working with NESC codes. National Electric Safety CodesWork with a designated final Quality Control approver on any necessary changes or revisions before he final electrical distribution design package is turned into the end client.There will be frequent communication via e-mail, phone, and teams with the client. For very important meetings or potential kick off meetings individual maybe required to travel to Michigan. These are very rare but could exist.
