ABOUT THIS JOB This position is to develop and implement Global Category and sub-category strategies in collaboration with SVP Procurement, CTO and his Direct Reports and business stakeholders. This position will plan and lead global category initiatives. It will  ensure a robust approach to supplier management, establish value creation targets and supplier performance, develop innovation programs, manage supplier risks and conduct regular business reviews. This position will lead proactive sourcing projects, specification definition and demand management and will manage supplier performance and innovation activities.RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy Development:Develop the ‘big picture’ to create the IT category strategyMap relevant stakeholders for the respective IT category strategyEstablish core team/ resource requirements for IT categoryOversee research and data analysis for categoryChallenge current working practices, specifications and demands for the IT categoryDevelop the IT category strategy with stakeholdersSell IT category sourcing strategy to senior stakeholdersManage tender process for categoryEnsure relevant options are communicated effectivelyCommunicate and review category strategy, as requiredEnsure business cases are created as and when requiredContract Development:Create negotiation plan and negotiate with suppliersEnsure adherence to signing authoritiesCommunicate contract to relevant stakeholdersSupplier Development:Conduct regular performance reviews with preferred IT suppliersCreate continuous improvement plan with preferred IT suppliersDevelop alternative IT suppliersDevelop and implement contract KPI’sContract Lifecycle ManagementEnsure compliance (i.e. restricted party screening, financial checks, conflict of interest checks, forced labour, embargoed countries, etc.)Ensure local compliance to Global contractsLeadershipEffectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders and 3rd partiesOrganize team members and delegate responsibilities and ensure team empowermentCoach junior team membersDeploy resources effectively to manage projects and tasksMeasure individual performance and provide timely and open feedbackSupport team in development plans
