- Design, propose and deploy cloud database systems, leveraging AWS managed database services to support Egencia’s industry leading corporate travel platform.
- Collaborate with application teams on database technology selection, schema design, database coding, and database performance tuning.
- Develop best practices for deploying, configuring, and monitoring high availability database systems within AWS.
- Communicating and collaborating with Egencia’s application teams to drive Database Engineering initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience with developing, engineering, and administering multiple relational or NoSQL database technologies (i.e., AWS Aurora, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Working Experience with Amazon Web Services managed database services (i.e., Aurora, PostgreSQL RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, ElastiCache and others), virtual server hosting (EC2, EBS, S3, AMIs, Management Console), and networking principles (i.e VPC, IAM, Route 53).
- Experience setting up database monitoring tools (i.e., DataDog, CloudWatch).
- Experience automating deployment processes (i.e., Ansible, Terraform).
