Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team based in Chicago, Illinois. The individual will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, leading a team, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting for our growing international SAAS company. This role also allows for some remote work, providing flexibility in the workplace.Responsibilities: Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all reports. Lead a team, focusing on skill growth and team development. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives. Handle technical accounting matters, applying industry standards and best practices. Supervise the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. Utilize skills in Technical Accounting, Annual Budgeting, and Supervising to perform tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with other departments to streamline finance processes and improve financial performance. Contribute to the company's strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level. Participate in special projects as needed, providing financial insights and expertise. Requirements Must possess at least 7 years of experience in an accounting role Demonstrated proficiency in supervising teams is required Must have strong technical accounting skills Experience in preparing annual budgets is necessary Must have a strong understanding of month-end close processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary Must have advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, a master's degree will be considered an advantage Professional accounting certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
