Cloud Engineer

Huxley is partnered with a top trading firm in Chicago that's looking to add a Cloud Engineer to their team. This person would strengthen their cloud-based development lifecycle, deploy applications using Terraform, facilitate data flows from on prem to the cloud, and standardize their cloud resource utilization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines.
  • Oversee several AWS environments and focus on unifying cloud engineering efforts.
  • Recommend hybrid cloud solutions for data engineering teams.
  • Integrate access routes and services with the hybrid cloud environment.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • 5+ years of work experience with AWS, and exposure to other cloud vendors like GCP / Azure.
  • Background utilizing IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Ability to program in a back-end language (Python, Java, Ruby, NodeJS).
  • Proficiency with containerization tools like Kubernetes or Docker in a Linux environment.
This is a full-time, direct-hire opening with the company and will be in Chicago in a hybrid in-office environment. The firm is not able to provide sponsorship now or in the future.
