Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Summary:This position is responsible supporting our clinical and financial analytics projects using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for clinical and financial optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have course work or experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Other information:Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor degree in statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics, data science or equivalent field. 3 years of experience of clinical research or analytics working with relational databases in a healthcare or hospital environment. Experience using statistical computer languages (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from data sets. Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology. Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques. Experience managing disparate data sets and using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Experience in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively. Experience presenting data to a variety of audiences. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
