For more information on what we are about as a company, check us out by following the link below: http://www.levyrestaurants.com/who-we-are/ SummaryReporting directly to the Director of Catering, the Catering Supervisor position is responsible to oversee the set-up and breakdown for assigned catered events and to supervise the assigned staff, including servers, bartenders and barbacks. The Catering Supervisor is also responsible for following all processes and procedures and meeting the service expectations of the client and their guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise the Catering team during the set-up and break-down of events at the Field Museum.

Manage inventory of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages for museum events.

Coordinate the movement of beverages and equipment for all events at the museum.

Supervise Food and Beverage service, as well as event room set-up and clean-up.

Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of events.

Greet clients and respond promptly to their requests.

Speak at roll call meetings before events to inform staff of event specifics and expectations.

Oversee general cleaning tasks using standard products, ensuring adherence to health standards.

Check with Facilities, Catering, and Culinary departments for any last-minute changes related to events.

Complete other duties as assigned by Management.
