Description We are on the lookout for an accomplished Attorney/Lawyer to be a part of our team in the Government sector, located in CHICAGO, Illinois. As an Attorney/Lawyer, your role will encompass managing client applications, maintaining comprehensive client documentation, and resolving client queries. You will also be tasked with observing client accounts and implementing appropriate measures. Responsibilities: Accurately process and efficiently manage client credit applications Maintain precise client credit records Review and provide expert advice on contracts at various stages Negotiate contract terms and conditions Participate in meetings with different departments to discuss contract details and upcoming contracts Advise on solicitation language for contracts Utilize your experience in handling procurement contracts Respond to FOIA requests, if required. Requirements Candidate must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in procurement is essential. Demonstrated expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts. Solid understanding and experience in contract law, with a focus on government contracts. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively articulate complex legal issues. Ability to provide sound legal advice on procurement and contract matters to government officials. Strong research and analytical skills to study legal precedents and deliver comprehensive reports. High level of detail orientation, as required by the legal profession. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgement calls.
