Attorney/Lawyer

Description Robert Half's Legal Division is in search of a seasoned Commercial Litigation Attorney to join one of our Boutique Clients in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves handling complex cases from inception to completion, carrying out high level legal research and writing, and supervising all aspects of e-discovery. The ideal candidate should be comfortable executing on a pre-determined strategy and operating both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: Take and defend depositions Draft pleadings and written discovery Supervise all aspects of e-discovery Handle complex cases from inception to completion Conduct high level legal research and writing Execute pre-determined strategies Operate independently and as part of a team Assist with all aspects of complex litigation cases Prepare cases for trial.Requirements Must hold a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of employment. Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial litigation. Demonstrated understanding of business implications of legal decisions. Proven ability to handle caseloads with oversight. Excellent skills in drafting and analyzing legal documents. Proven ability to negotiate and interact with clients effectively. Exceptional research skills, both legal and non-legal. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must adhere to the highest ethical standards. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
