Description We are offering a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit sector based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will provide essential support to our team through various administrative tasks. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, focusing on grant administration and management, particularly for the city of Chicago.Responsibilities: Manage and process grant vouchers for the city of Chicago efficiently and accurately. Maintain up-to-date and precise records of grant applications and approvals. Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries related to grant applications and management. Monitor the status of grant applications and follow up with the appropriate city websites as needed. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and correspondence management. Liaise with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure smooth grant administration. Use your expertise in government grants and grant administration to provide valuable insights and suggestions for process improvement. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines in the grant management process. Work effectively within the team to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments. Use your skills in grant management to ensure the successful completion of each grant cycle. Requirements Possess experience or knowledge in non-profit sector Proven experience in an administrative role Familiarity with government grants, grant administration and grant management Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative software Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, volunteers, and donors Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information High attention to detail and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred.
