Select your correct bargaining unitFAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A REJECTED BID APPLICATIONUnder supervision, performs paraprofessional accounting and auditing duties; and performs related duties as requiredESSENTIAL DUTIES· Verifies and enters vendor estimate forms, requisitions, modifications, receipts, and payment vouchers into accounting system within established guidelines and turnaround times.· Audits requisitions, receipts, and payment vouchers to ensure entries are accurate, appropriately allocated to accounts, and comply with contract and funding guidelines, and documents errors and reconciles accounts, as required· Audit and enters Employee Reimbursement vouchers· Monitors account balances and recommends spending adjustments and fund re-allocations to ensure the availability of funds to cover expenditures· Understand the various funding codes for data entry into accounting software.· Communicate with various levels of staff to research discrepancies or provide information on various types of vendor information forms, PO’s, funding, etc.· Data entry of grant budgets setup, modifications, funding pattern and communication with various staff and departments.· Process monthly lease payment vouchers, spreadsheets and communicates with staff and vendors as needed· Process monthly Graphics billing, statements and collection for department and sister agency· Process monthly requests for car parts, postage, utility and car wash invoices, update spreadsheets as needed.· Prepares basic financial spreadsheets as needed· Maintains files of departmental information (e.g., vendor contract list, vendor supplier number requests, requisition numbers, voucher numbers)· Interprets employee reimbursement / travel provisions to identify allowable and non-allowable expenditures· Data entry of Annual Budget· Checks and reviews audited vouchers to ensure accuracy and conformance to established accounting procedures· Resolves problems regarding budget limitations, allocations or modifications and prepares necessary documentation· Downloads open release reports and works with bureau staff to resolve discrepanciesAdditional duties may be required for this position.Location: 1869 West Pershing RdDays: Monday through FridayHours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Salary: $53,736.00/yearTHIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICEQualifications:Two (2) years of paraprofessional accounting or auditing experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experienceSELECTION REQUIREMENTSThis position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

Knowledge of FMPS PO requisition, payment voucher processing, Accounts Receivable invoicing and downloading associated reports.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of Business Object AP, PO & GL reporting
