high standards. Horizon Carpentry is locally owned and operated with a knowledgeable staff ready to meet our
customers’ needs. Horizon’s panel shop is on the cutting edge and is growing, we want to add a designer to our
growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
Design walls with Mitek design software and provide shop/field release package
Coordinate designs with saw software to generate material lists and optimize designs
Utilize architectural and structural plans in tandem to complete designs
Coordinate with estimating and project management to resolve design conflicts and RFI’s
Ensure project documents, records and design schedules are properly maintained
Be proficient in wall bundling and sequencing for efficient on-site installation
Understand Mitek opening libraries and material management within software
Work in tandem with panel shop foreman and communicate with field to streamline designs
Other pertinent duties as assigned
Desired qualifications:
3 years of wall panel design with Mitek Software
3 years of preparing shop release documents and organizing material lists from design files
Proficiency in Mitek settings and library management
Excel, PDF, AutoCAD experience
Candidate desired to had hands on carpentry experience
Cambium software proficiency preferred
