One of my client companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician (adding one to the team) that has experience with commercial/industrial (large) equipment especially ironers. Hourly rate is $35-40/hr. and will depend on experience. My client has two boilers. This will be an early morning position, Monday - Sunday and this will vary on the weekends. Summary: Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs on all production, and building equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversees laundry service operations.
Requisitions parts and supplies.
Performs all repairs and maintenance in a safe manner.
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and ensures other repairs and adjustments are made.
Maintains records on machine production and time lost due to machines being out of order.
Plans, assigns, and/or oversees the work of others.
Installing new equipment, diagnosing repairs, removing, and replacing defective parts. Troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
Performs related work as assigned.
Equipment and machinery to include:
IRONERS, Pneumatics, conveyor systems, electric motors, laundry equipment, PLC repair/replacement, boiler, pumps, hydraulics, chain driven devices, etc.
Qualifications:
Experience in laundry work, to include PM services and general repair work on laundry equipment. Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Physical Demands:
Be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
Training:
Skill in the operation and maintenance of laundry machinery and equipment; and general knowledge of routine maintenance in regard to laundry and processing equipment.
Ability to maintain records; to prepare concise reports; and to plan, assign, and coordinate preventative maintenance and general repairs.
Communication:
All communication shall go through your supervisor.
You are expected to be able to communicate with manufactures to trouble shoot issues on production equipment.
Work Environment:
All work will be performed in the plant.
