Position: Landscape Design & Project Assistant

Full-Time, In-Person in Chicago

Responsibilities:

- Assist office staff with residential design-build landscape projects, including design, decks, and pergolas.

- Collaborate with Designers and Project Managers to order, track, and manage project materials.

- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and team members to develop project designs and documentation that meet goals.

- Support the preparation of project proposals and all related documentation.

- Contribute to all project phases—including conceptual design, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and contract administration.

- Produce accurate deliverables using SketchUp and AutoCAD.

- Research and specify landscape and hardscape materials, products, and systems.

- Conduct site visits during construction to verify adherence to plans, coordinate with contractors, and address issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in the landscape industry is a plus.

- Proficiency in SketchUp is required.

- Strong understanding of managing spreadsheets, Excel, and similar tools.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to work effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and contractors.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.

What We Offer:

- $50,000 - $60,000 (dependent on experience and skills).

- Benefits including healthcare, 401(k), and paid time off, 2-weeks paid time off during Christmas/New Years, and 3 day weekends every weekend! (no Fridays)

- Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
