Job Description
CAD Draftsperson / Designer for Building Mechanical and Electrical Systems
Work will be remote
Responsible for CAD production and design of plans for building mechanical and electrical systems.
Requires a sharp mind, good communication skills, and desire to learn and grow.
Should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Production
Under direct and indirect supervision from the principal, will:
Prepare drawings of MEP systems for permit, bid, and construction utilizing:
AutoCad and AutoCAD LT, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
Become familiar with the Company’s CAD standards.
Become familiar with the Company’s methods for production and delivery.
Design
Under direct and indirect supervision from the principal, will:
Design duct and/or piping systems utilizing standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Become familiar with mechanical building codes.
Perform simple calculations for HVAC heat loss/gain.
Layout electrical equipment and wiring utilizing standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Become familiar with electrical building and life safety codes.
Perform simple calculations for ELECTRICAL power and lighting loads.
Design piping systems utilizing standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Provide calculations and schedules required for building permits
Become familiar with plumbing building codes.
Perform simple calculations for PLUMBING and piping loads.
