My name is Shawn, and I’m a man in my 40s with a disability. I am seeking a part-time caregiver to help with daily living tasks. Base pay is $19/hr., and I have 4 hrs./wk. available (more info below). Experience is not required, but it is welcome. I am located near the Walmart on N. Prospect, but the shifts are not long enough to be worthwhile without your own vehicle. Be prepared to wear a mask. I am looking to find someone to fill two bedtime shifts, as well as potentially be a backup on other bedtime shifts. Here are the open shifts:
Mon. 10:30 pm - 12:30 am
Wed. 10:30 pm - 12:30 am
The rate of pay for short notice fill-ins is $23/hr. There may be more openings in the future, but I can't make any guarantees right now. Please indicate your availability and desired workload.
The following is a partial list of duties:
Transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair to shower chair, etc.), dressing/undressing, bathing, feeding, grooming, some meal prep., dealing with condom catheters, laundry. Transfers will be done with a Hoyer lift and training will be provided.
I realize that the shift length and number of hours I have available may not suit all individuals, in which case I wish them the best of luck in finding something that meets their needs. Thank you for your time.
