You can help us succeed in doing this by becoming a team member in the Distribution Center at Acument Global Technologies’ Belvidere location.Position Summary of the Sorting Supervisor Supervises the Sorting Departments as well as interfaces with manufacturing, sales, shipping, customers and suppliers on quality related issues. Documents and validates internal and external quality corrective actions. Provides a safe working environment to ensure efficient work flow, meet the quality standards and maintain compliance with IATF16949, ISO17025 and ISO14001 procedures/work instructions. Develops, implements and maintains corrective action system, including supporting procedures. Acting as a technical resource especially in the areas of problem solving for variable situations requiring analytical evaluation and constructive thinking for manufacturing and engineering. Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: ●Has complete knowledge of all appropriate sorting equipment, measuring devices, inspection procedures and the ability to perform inspections and properly document results. ● Supervises machine sorting, hand sorting and coordinates outside sorting on off loaded product. ● Provide direction and training to employees engaged in sorting of product from outside vendors and in process sorting requirements. ● Completes performance reviews on time, quantifying the performance measures against established goals. ● Maintain the inspection system to make sure changes are in compliance with ISO/IEC17025, ISO14000, ISO14001, IATF16949, and corporate requirements. Maintain assigned daily logs for inspections completed. Manage audit and corrective actions as needed. ● Performs analysis on Right First Time charts to help drive improvement. ● Completes Material Isolation Form and promptly notifies Quality Management of the lots that do not meet specification. ● Initial containment on customer concerns. Aid in the tracking, solutions, and verification of solutions of customer complaints and IMI’s. ● Conduct or participate in plant tours and customer visits as required. ● On site visits to customer locations as required. ● Assist Quality Manager during customer audits. ● Perform Supplier audits as required. ● Maintain cleanliness of work area daily to ensure a safe working environment. ● Coordinate work activities to promote cooperation and teamwork in achieving Company goals and objectives. Willingly communicate with and assist co-workers as needed. ● Update and summarize layered audits on a monthly basis. Qualifications-Education/Experience Required: Required:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience .
Minimum 3 years quality experience in inspection and testing in a manufacturing environment
Previous supervisor experience
Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
Must have flexibility with work schedule
Preferred:
Knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes
