DescriptionIf you're looking for a short-term temporary-to-full-time Senior Financial Analyst position, this could be the position for you! To succeed in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will need to be comfortable as our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. To succeed in this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will need to be comfortable performing analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and providing decision-making support for future company investments. Barrington, Illinois will be the home base of this Senior Financial Analyst.Key responsibilities
Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of operational initiatives
Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Influence the development of repeatable business, operational, and financial processes for all necessary teams
Advance existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate integral updates to senior management
Build positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating critical updates to senior leadership
Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis
Requirements
Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization
A BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or related field necessary
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management
Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers
Relevant experience in operations finance required
Efficient in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
CPA or MBA preferred
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint
Proven knowledge of Lease Abstracts
Well-founded grasp of Lease Transactions
Financial modeling experience highly desired
Strong familiarity with commercial real estate
Business Intelligence (BI) experience desired
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred
