Our client in Wenona IL is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team as a sanitation worker. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout our entire facility using a variety of equipment. This position involves manual labor, physical endurance, and the ability to perform tasks at various heights on ladders and lifts. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize various areas including the mixing room, production areas, walls, ceilings, equipment, and exterior plant area as needed
Safely operate equipment such as floor scrubbers, forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts within ten days of employment
Remove trash and debris, clean flour and sugar silo areas
Understand equipment instructions, manuals, specifications, and safety requirements
Record all required data and maintain cleanliness of work areas
Perform additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP program
Proficient reading and writing skills in English to understand equipment instructions, manuals, and specifications
Basic math skills to calculate and measure cleansers/sanitizers
Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work schedules
Ability to lift 55.5 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (up to 90% of the time)
Capable of working at heights and in hot, wet, and/or tight spaces
Ability to crawl, work on knees and ladders, and work at heights without disorientation
Understanding and adherence to all safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age
Be able to pass a drug test and background check
Work as a team
Must be able to work overtime if needed
