VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is excited to share the groundbreaking news of our latest addition— Ophthalmology Service services!As we embark on this innovative journey, we're assembling a dedicated team to lead our new Ophthalmology Service , and we're actively seeking Certified Veterinary Technicians to join us in elevating the standard of care.Our Ophthalmology Service:Eye problems are some of the most common reasons owners bring their pet to the veterinarian. Specific eye problems can be challenging to diagnose and treat, which is where our Ophthalmology service steps in. Our services and medical equipment mirror what one would find at a human medical center. Our Ophthalmologist's focus is to improve our patient's quality of life by providing effective treatment and support services.Our Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician:As a Certified Veterinary Technician and a member of our Ophthalmology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Ophthalmologist. Responsibilities of the technician include exam rooms, diagnostics, prescription management, client education, anesthetic/surgical procedures, safe patient handling, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Certified Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT)

3+ years experience with monitoring anesthesia

Passion for client communication and education
