The Opportunity
McCain Foods is currently accepting applications for roles within the Plant Maintenance Mechanic team at the Burley, ID facility.
Maintenance Mechanic
Starting $28.02+/hour plus $1/hr shift differential.
Schedule: night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Plant maintenance is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance duties and mechanical repairs to operate, repair, adjust, install, rebuild, and fabricate various types of machinery and systems for the factory.
Maintenance Mechanic Lead
Starting $34.76/hr plus $1/hr shift differential.
The Maintenance Mechanic Lead ensures safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks for production lines, optimizing the use of resources. Proficient in interpreting blueprints and Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, this role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment. Effective communication of maintenance needs, training team members, and ensuring smooth production are key responsibilities.
Qualification Requirement
Previous experience working in mechanical industry (will accept automotive, and non-industrial experiences).
Basic understanding of electrical, welding, electronics, and mechanics.
Computer skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Previous factory experience is a plus.
Mechanic Lead must have leadership experience of at least 1 year.
Mechanic Lead must have completion of one year toward an Associates degree (A.A.) or the equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; a minimum of 6 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
