Seeking individual bilingual in Spanish and English with proven experience in farm and ranch operations that can advance to a leadership role. Individual will need to be capable to train and build efficiency in the team drive consistent performance across different skill levels and changing priorities and seasonality's. Communicate to management and adapt to changing workforce.
- Knows how lead a team and to self-perform ranch tasks including:
Fence construction and repair
Animal feeding and health observation - including self-adapting to changing weather conditions and nutritional needs. Managing feed ration to achieve animal performance and cost management.
Driving of stock trailers, loading, unloading
Setup of panels, maintaining handling facilities, gather, load and process cattle and calves
Knowledgeable and proficient with electric fences
Doctoring of cattle and calves and assisting deliveries
Knows how to self-perform and lead a team to achieve the following farm tasks
- Assemble of gravity irrigation systems and pressurized irrigation systems
- Understands what pressure systems need to run, pond maintenance, pump maintenance
- Pivot operation and diagnosis abilities
- Gated pipe and experience with solving problems and constructing systems quickly
- Flood ditches and canvas dams - understanding how to setup irrigators to perform to needed levels
- Irrigation - understanding of timing and quantity and management
Team size : Summer Season (4-8 individuals) Winter Season (2-4 individuals)
This will be a challenging role with a demanding schedule with both mental and physical workload. PTO, vacation and sick leave included.
