South Central Public Health District (SCPHD) (https://cdh.idaho.gov/) is currently recruiting for a Temporary 5 Month Customer Service Representative to join our dedicated group of public health professionals supporting our programs in our Family and Children’s Division located in our Twin Falls office. We are seeking an applicant who will embrace our agency values, who has excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and who is driven to provide exceptional service. This is position is not eligible for benefits. Description: This position will provide clerical support for our nursing department with seasonal flu clinics both in office as well community flu vaccine clinics. Employees in this position will travel with nursing staff to offsite vaccine clinics possibly requiring periodic start and end times outside of the traditional 8 am- 5 pm working hours. Employees in this position will also provide customer service and specialized information regarding all Health District 5 services. The representative will assist clients in securing services, provide clerical support for District 5 staff members; provide education on District recommendations and programs; perform office support tasks and greet clients. Candidates will possess good knowledge of department programs and services in order to both provide and obtain accurate information; determine eligibility for available services; and refer customer to the appropriate department and/or staff. A high degree of confidentiality is involved in performing work with the public. Typical Duties: · Perform a variety of office support functions; answering phones, greeting clients · Scheduling appointments for clinical services · Processing payments for services rendered · Maintaining computerized record keeping systems by adding, deleting, or updating information · Engage with clients to determine their specific needs · Obtain program specific data · Provide specialized information regarding services Minimum Qualifications: · Must have a high school diploma or GED · Experience questioning customers to obtain detailed information in a business setting · Experience explaining policies, procedures, or rules · Experience independently handling complaints and upset individuals in a business setting · Experience answering a business telephone and knowledge of business telephone etiquette · Experience reviewing documents and records for accuracy and completeness · Experience accessing data using a computerized records system · Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is highly preferred · Must provide Cover Letter and Resume indicating experience and qualifications Supplemental Information: May be exposed to a noisy and crowded work environment, and to hostile or aggressive clients.
